A Leader Rooted in Indian River County

About Brooks Robinson

Brooks Robinson was born and raised in Indian River County, with deep roots in the community. He remembers when State Road 60 was just two lanes, the Vero Beach mall was new, and much of the county west of town still felt truly rural. A proud product of local schools—Rosewood Magnet, Gifford Middle, and Vero Beach High School—Brooks went on to earn both his undergraduate and law degrees from Stetson University, where he met his wife, Malorie.

He now leads his family’s multi-generational logistics business, founded here in 1974, where he has been involved since age 16. He brings real-world experience in negotiation, operations, sales, and business management in a competitive industry.

A lifelong Republican, Brooks joined the Republican Executive Committee at age 16, becoming its youngest member. He has since volunteered on numerous campaigns and remains actively engaged in both community and political life.

Brooks Robinson’s vision is clear

Protecting what matters while planning for the future.

Keep Indian River County a safe, family-friendly, small-town community with a strong economy, clean environment, and real opportunity for the people who live here.

He believes the county must be proactive, not reactive. Over the next five years, we have the opportunity to lay the foundation for decades of long-term success. That starts with establishing a clear, cohesive framework for growth, protecting our natural resources, and attracting the right kind of economic development.

The goal is not to become another crowded South Florida city, but to remain a thriving, less-dense community where families can live, work, and play locally—while preserving the values, safety, and quality of life that make Indian River County special.

Focused on What Matters Most

Smart, Managed Growth & Infrastructure

Growth is coming, and it must be planned for with intention. That starts with updating our comprehensive plan and strengthening infrastructure where it matters most. This includes investing in roads, the airport (now with three airlines), and key interchanges like the new Oslo Road exit on I-95, and community spaces. The goal is to support thoughtful development while avoiding unchecked sprawl that overwhelms schools, roads, and essential services.

Economic Development & Tax Diversification

Indian River County must reduce its reliance on residential property taxes by building a more balanced local economy. This includes streamlining permitting and removing unnecessary barriers for small businesses. It also means attracting high-quality industries that align with our community. A modern, proactive strategy will position the county as a place where businesses and families can thrive.

Quality of Life & Family Values

Maintaining our quality of life means supporting safe neighborhoods and strong public services. Families should feel secure, connected, and proud of where they live. Growth should enhance—not erode—the character of our county. That includes preserving walkability, investing in parks, and ensuring that core services meet residents' needs.

Accountable, Results-Driven Governance

County government must operate with greater accountability, discipline, and transparency. That starts with clear decision-making frameworks and stronger oversight of spending and contracts. It also means reducing inefficiencies and improving execution. By bringing a results-driven, private-sector mindset to public service, we can ensure government works effectively for the people.

Environmental Stewardship

Protecting the Indian River Lagoon and our natural lands is essential to preserving the character of our community. This means improving water quality and responsibly advancing septic-to-sewer solutions through smart public-private partnerships. It also means preventing environmental damage before it happens. Growth must be balanced with preservation so future generations can enjoy the same natural beauty we value today.
